Johnsen Trailer Sales, Inc. was founded in 1959 by Richard Johnsen. From 1959 - 1972 the company was a two man operation located on main street in Bismarck, ND. The only service offered to its customers was sales, but Richard soon realized the needs of his customers had evolved, which warranted a location change in 1972 to its current location at 2100 Industrial Drive at which time parts and service departments were added.

Johnsen Trailer Sales, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business. Richard's two sons Dick and Roger Johnsen run the company today.

In 1990 Johnsen Trailer Sales expanded their services to include the eastern part of North Dakota by opening a branch location in Fargo, ND. In total Johnsen Trailer Sales employs 27 employees between its

Bismarck and Fargo locations. Johnsen Trailer Sales, Inc. services customers around the United States and Canada. The service department has combined experience totaling 275 years and the sales department has 63 years of combined experience.
